Waldorf Astoria – Roosevelt
Problem
The design of the website for the Waldorf Astoria Roosevelt in New Orleans was dated. In addition to a design refresh, the content needed a thorough review. The Roosevelt had recently been remodeled, and we wanted to carry the design over to the website.
Solution
- The new design would be fresh and modern while reflecting the hotel’s luxury and character.
- Content of the entire site would be reviewed and updated. Content about the history of the hotel and its prominence as a New Orleans institution would be expanded and promoted.
- The updated site would be fully responsive.
- Beautiful, engaging photography would be used throughout.
Design Approach
The design used an elegant sans-serif font (Nobel) for headings, menus, and buttons, and a simple black, white, and gold color palette. Page-width photography captivated and focused user attention on the hotel’s offerings.
Mobile Experience
The new design was fully responsive. All content and functionality was available and optimized for any size screen.
Content
Along with reviewing all of the existing content, the site architecture was completely reworked to ensure that the hotel’s range of services and amenities were promoted while highlighting its luxury and history.
Final Product
The final product was a responsive, engaging website that reflected the classic elegance and welcoming charm of the Roosevelt itself. It showcased the Roosevelt’s grand story and ties to New Orleans colorful history. It was very well-received by the hotel management and owners.
